Our Story

We met in Singapore in January 2016, both on exchange at the National University of Singapore, living life to the fullest—new people, endless travels across Asia, amazing food, and plenty of long, fun nights. On one of those nights on Sentosa Island, we first met. Singapore felt like a lifetime—from being friends on campus to quickly becoming something more, to taking our first trip together.

After returning to Europe, Nora visited Alex in Sweden for the first time, thanks to a sweet, handwritten invitation from Alex. Besides seeing each other in something other than shorts and flip-flops, everything felt the same. From that point on, we were certain: we would make this work, despite living in Germany and Sweden at the time.

Fast forward: we lived together and apart across Gothenburg, Stockholm, and Copenhagen from 2017 to 2019. Those years were filled with excitement—many weekend visits, travels across the world, and creating memories together.

In 2020, we moved into our first permanent apartment together in Berlin. We quickly fell in love with the city—a place so vibrant and never boring, and best of all, home to many of our closest friends. We loved it so much that, in 2022, we bought our first home together in Berlin and spent the rest of the year renovating it.

Fast forward again to February 2024, we decided to take our first big trip after completing the renovation. Colombia became a very memorable and special trip for us—with the obvious highlight of getting engaged in Bogotá.

As we always say to each other: "We can’t believe how lucky we’ve been in life."
